It’s all in the
detail.
At Neptune we are obsessed with construction details
many of which are internal to the product. Outdoor
furniture needs to be robust so we test every product
– many to destruction – until we are satisfied
that it will perform exceptionally. For our timber
pieces we use a combination of innovative construction
techniques and traditional carpentry. Mortise and
tenon joints are fixed with pins and dowels.
Metal furniture is pre-treated, galvanised and then
powdercoated to create a robust weatherproof finish.
Accessories are specified highly. Lazy susans,
notorious for jamming, are created in such a way so
as to prevent any risk of corrosion.
Each freestanding and kitchen unit is fully framed.
Each unit is locked together top and bottom and both
sides using adhesive, mortice and tennon joints and
then locked with either dowels or screws where appropriate.
These joints are positioned accurately together and
secured in place by hydraulic presses while the whole
structure sets. This way we can guarantee the integrity
of the joint and therefore the lifelong service of
each piece.
All drawers travel out to full extension for easy
access. This is done via Blum under drawer runners
which have a soft auto-close mechanism. A simple tap
and the drawer will slide into place and close. All
drawers have a quick–release mechanism to allow
easy removal.
We hope that you enjoy looking at our range as much
as we did creating it!
